3rd International Documentary Festival

The Hellenic History Foundation (idisme.gr) travels once again this summer to Castellorizo island organising the 3rd International Documentary Festival “Beyond Borders”. The festival aims to establish Castellorizo as ​​a meeting place for the creators of history and socio-political documentaries, attracting important representatives of cinema and culture from all over the world to the island. The usefulness of the Festival is not limited to the local community and its summer visitors’. At a nodal point between the East and the West, very close to the Lycia coastline, the Festival also anticipates a further cultural cooperation between Castellorizo and Kas (Antiphellus).

“Beyond Borders” awards 4 prizes, courtesy of the Hellenic Parliament. The Festival, once completed travels every year to Europe and Australia. “Beyond Borders” is held under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and the Municipality of Megisti.
