The son of one of America’s wealthiest families establishes a communist revolutionary base in rural Massachusetts, seeking to disrupt the capitalist system in which he was raised but has now come to despise. Director: Sinéad O’Shea

Sinéad O’Shea is an award-winning filmmaker and journalist. Her most recent film “Blue Road: The Edna O’Brien Story” premiered at TIFF in 2024 and opened Doc NYC. Sinéad’s background is in journalism and current affairs filmmaking. She began her career in Ireland, shooting and editing the IFTA-winning series “Sampler”. She has also worked with the BBC, Channel 4, and the Irish Times, for which she was honoured with a Media Justice Award for her work with asylum seekers. She was previously a producer and director with Al Jazeera English, undertaking extensive undercover and investigative work in regions including Northern Ireland, Poland, Iran, and Eritrea. In 2009, she became the first journalist in over a decade to produce independent reporting from Eritrea. It was during this time that she made her first one-hour film “McCanns v The Media” and co-directed the award-winning series “Earthrise” with Orlando von Einsiedel. Sinéad worked as an Irish correspondent for “The New York Times” and “The Guardian”, and continues to contribute to both newspapers.
