Chronis Botsoglou “I Was There Too and I Was Treated With a Plate of Lentil Soup”/ Greece, 2021, 77’ Directed by: Freddy Vianellis

Chronis Botsoglou draws with his pencil the first lines of a portrait on white paper. The director Fredy Vianellis watches him, records the creation, and catching the thread of the design, looks back on the visual adventure of the artist’s life. Paintings from the last 30 years, some reworked, oils, plaster, watercolours, make up this visual event. The great painter confirms with his every move that he is one of the most important chapters of contemporary art in Greece, one of the leading painters of the post-war generation and a “key” person in the reorganization of ASFA (as professor and rector) in the 1990s.
