“Lost for Words” is an odyssey across the United Kingdom. Through diverse voices, it celebrates our relationship with nature while actively reshaping our anthropocentric point of view with poetic and scientific approaches.

Director: Hannah Papacek-Harper

Hannah Papacek-Harper is a director who graduated from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Universidad de Lima, where she studied Aesthetics and Film Practice. She has worked as a director since 2019. She began her professional career as a Steadicam operator and it was through this experience that she started to tell stories through the moving image. She now works as a screenwriter and director, developing projects centred on ecology that combine science with art. Her work and research also focus on displacement, identity and intergenerational memory. With a deep interest in communication, the transmission of experiences and sensory approaches to cinema, she is constantly seeking new and empathetic ways to connect with a wide audience. Her roots lie in experimental video, and from 2021 to 2023, two of her experimental short films “Just Listen to the Storm” and “Vegetative” were screened at festivals around the world. “Lost for Words” marks her debut in the feature-length documentary genre.
