The daughter of a peaceful opposition leader to Qaddafi unravels his disappearance and pieces together her mother’s 19-year search to find him. Having no memory of her father, she attempts to reconnect with him and come to terms with her Libyan identity.

Director: Jihan

Jihan was born in exile and raised in Paris. Her father was a Libyan human rights lawyer and a peaceful opposition leader against Qaddafi’s regime. Following her father’s disappearance in Cairo, the family split their time between the United States and France, while Jihan’s mother, a Syrian artist, campaigned for justice internationally. Jihan received a BA in International and Comparative Politics, concentrating in Human Rights, Philosophy and International Law, and an MA in Art Education and Storytelling.
