We are waiting for our chance to cross into Europe, impatiently, on the border between Morocco and Spain. One failed attempt follows another, but we endure. As “an Artist”, it is my job to keep the flame of hope alive for the whole group. Our means of resistance, survival and expression are a camera and a few songs. This film emerged from that waiting period, capturing our dreams, frustrations, and determination as we search for a future beyond the border.

Director: David Bingong

David Bingong was born in Douala, Cameroon, in 1988. Passionate about the performing arts, he has worked as a theatre director and actor. He currently lives in Madrid, Spain, where he made “Les Voyageurs”, a film shot between 2013 and 2015 while travelling across Africa en route to Europe. “Les Voyageurs” is his debut feature film and received the Special Jury Prize at Visions du Réel.
