Ending Wars and Making Peace
by Jobst Knigge, Cristina Trebbi and Susanne Utzt, Germany, 2025, 90' Greek Premiere
Wars dominate the headlines—their triggers, progression, participants, devastating consequences, destruction, and human suffering. But too rarely is the question asked: “How does a war end?” “And what does it take to make peace possible?” The documentary Ending Wars – and Making Peace poses exactly these questions and seeks answers—not from just anyone, but from key individuals who were directly involved in major peace processes. Statesmen, Nobel Peace Prize laureates, top diplomats, and chief negotiators offer rare insights into how warring parties were brought to the negotiating table and how peace was achieved. Prominent international figures reflect on the crucial moments in history where they played a part in shaping peace.
