Ira, a young Ukrainian refugee living in Switzerland, revisits her fragmented memories and strained family relationships. A doll crafted in her own image becomes the fragile link between her current life and her past, which is characterised by a challenging relationship and the silent absence of her father.

Ira Melnichenko was born in Kyiv in 2001. She studied Documentary Filmmaking at the Karpenko-Kary National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television in Ukraine. Following the outbreak of the war, she continued her film studies in Geneva, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema in 2025.
