When parents split up, a family falls apart. Two separate worlds emerge from what was once considered a unity. Children now live between two homes, in constant transition. This film explores their reality, focusing on the fragility and bravery, intelligence and humour with which children perceive their situation.

Director: Jacqueline Zünd

Jacqueline Zünd was born in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1971. She studied at the London International Film School (LIFS). Her 2010 documentary “Goodnight Nobody” won numerous awards, including the prize for Best Newcomer Film at Visions du Réel in Nyon, and a special mention at DOK Leipzig. “Almost There” (2016) premiered at IDFA and won the Best Editing award at the 2018 Swiss Film Awards. “Where We Belong” (2019) premiered in the Generation section of the Berlinale. Zünd’s feature film debut “Don’t Let the Sun” celebrated its world premiere in Locarno in the Cineasti del Presente competition, where it won the Pardo for Best Performance. The film has been shown at numerous festivals, including Busan. She is a member of the Swiss and European Film Academies, and works as a lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
