Vertigo

We travel to Teresa de Cofrentes, a rural village located in inland Valencia that is at risk of depopulation. There, we meet the few remaining inhabitants who still live in the village and hear their stories—about the place they call home and their fears of its possible disappearance.

Alejandra Sánchez Casañ makes her directorial debut with Vértigo, a documentary short film shot in her hometown, Teresa de Cofrentes. Born in 1999, she has already gained experience in audiovisual artistic cinema, advertising, and theatre. In recent years, she has worked as a set designer on Coronación (produced by ESCAC STUDIO), Malet (produced by RODAR and RODAR CINE), and Ser un Hombre (produced by Sumendi Filmak). She has also worked as assistant set designer for the play Com cantar sobreviviré sense que m’exploti un pulmó by Dana Carbonell and Raquel Camón, among other projects.
