‘A folktale is medicine of hope in the darkest of times..’
Folktales surrounding an ancient sacred site, hold within them a turbulent and painful history. In this short film, members of the local community recount excerpts of these tales, and three historians share the historical context through which the stories have emerged. These stories were important to generations of people - for through dark times, they had the power to give a sense of hope and possibility.
