Competitive program of the 5th International Kastellorizo ​​Documentary Festival "Beyond Borders"

A total of 24 documentaries will be presented in the Competition Program of the 5th International Documentary Festival of Kastellorizo ​​"Beyond Borders", which will take place from 23 to 30 August on the island of Akriti.

For another year, the Festival's competition program includes remarkable examples of cinematic art and storytelling, which deal with events, issues and people who have influenced the countries, peoples and cultures of the world.

As part of the competition, the jury of the Festival will award the prizes for Best Historical Documentary, Best Socio-Political Documentary and Best Short Documentary - all with the kind sponsorship of the Hellenic Parliament - by the Greek Thessaloniki as well as the Special Award for Mediterranean Friendship sponsored by EKOME.

The Festival is organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Historical Studies (IDISME), together with the Ecrans des Mondes (Paris) and the Kastellorizo ​​Revival Association (Sydney), under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Hellenes Abroad (MFA), Municipality of Megisti, the Embassies of Australia, the USA and Israel as well as with the kind support of the Greek Parliament, the General Secretariat for Island Policy, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, ERT and EKOME.
