The Media and Academic Partner of Honor of the 5th“Beyond Borders” International Documentary Film Festival of Castellorizo
The 5th “Beyond Borders” International Documentary Film Festival of Castellorizo island continues its collaboration with renowned institutions, which highlight the importance of documentary film making and bring about their involvement in contributing to the evolution of the world documentary production.
The 5th edition of the Festival, which will be held in the idyllic island of Castellorizo, Greece from August 23 to August 30, 2020 has once again two Honorary Partners- the Media and the Academic Partners of Honor.
This year the “ALTER EGO MEDIA” Group and specifically representatives from “MEGA” TV, “ONE CHANNEL” TV, “TO VIMA”, “TA NEA”, newspapers “IN.GR” web site and “VIMAGAZINO” journal have been chosen as Beyond Borders Media Institutions of Honor. The Festival’s previous Media Partners include BBC, RAI, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), Ecrans des Mondes among others.
Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki and specifically the School of Film Studies will be this year’ s Academic Partner of Honor. The only School of Film Studies in Greece will be represented by it’s Head, Professor Panagiotis Iosifelis, also a member of this year’s Jury. At the closing ceremony, the Jury will bestow for the first time the Best Greek Documentary Award sponsored by the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki. The Universities of York, of London, of Istanbul, have been amongst the previous Academic Partners of Honor.
