ALEXANDROS ZYGOURIS
Alexandros Zygouris is a well-known slulptor who has been living in Castellorizo for the last 35 years. For Alexandros, sculpture is the art of subtraction until the real substance is revealed. His way of living is closely attached to the art he serves. Plain, thrifty, always barefoot, he walks on the rocky island from side to side chiseling the landscape, giving content to the relentless battle of man to tame and give shape to the stone.
