Documentary Studio: Beyond Storytelling Part 3

Now in its third year, “Beyond Storytelling” is a filmmaking workshop bringing together students from the partner Film Schools Network, filmmakers, and academics.

Each year, the workshop focuses on a thematic core closely connected to Kastellorizo, guiding participants through every stage of the filmmaking process — from development to post-production — culminating in the creation of a short documentary.

This year’s edition centered on the stories of the Kassie community as well as one of the local artists whose works are carved into the island’s rocky hillsides. The workshop is led by academic Uri Cohen, filmmaker Danae Elon, and Liselle Mei, an award-winning director, author, and photographer.
