Masterclass: Teaching Film to High School Students

As part of the 10th Beyond Borders, Gilles Perrin delivered a masterclass on teaching film to high school students from École Alsacienne, a Parisian school with a strong focus on the arts. The class centered on the screening of films that have marked the history of cinema and introduced students to a variety of genres and movements, with a particular emphasis on documentary. At the same time, students were introduced to the practical side of filmmaking — from scriptwriting and shooting to editing — gaining the opportunity to express themselves through this contemporary medium. The masterclass provided valuable knowledge and inspiration for teaching and creatively engaging younger generations with cinema.
