From Idea to Project

Pitch Lab 2023 of Beyond Borders | International Documentary Film Festival of Castellorizo

For the fourth consecutive year , we are excited to continue and extend the Visio-Pitching Lab of Beyond Borders International Documentary Film Festival held in Castellorizo, Greece between Aug 20 to 27, 2023. The objective is to offer young and upcoming filmmakers the opportunity to present their basic idea to an experienced panel of decision-makers working in the global documentary arena. Those who are offered the opportunity to pitch their idea will receive professional feedback in how to turn an idea into a valid project. It will greatly assist in the search for partnerships, subsidies, development and/or production funds. 

Each Pitch runs for 15 minutes, with 3 minutes to present the idea, and 12 mins for questions and discussion. Candidates will please submit their idea on the present application form. There is no submission fee. Deadline for submission is June 16 2023. Selected candidates will be informed latest by June 30. They must be available on zoom during the Lab’s dates (24-25 of August 2023). The Information required is as follows:
